You can tailor the automation to your songs by selecting one of five "Mix Type" settings, as appropriate:

B - Loud: (Default Level) consistently modern sound, with just enough compression.
C - Louder is ideal for loud genres like hip-hop and electronic dance music, and it works well with well-balanced mixes that have already used compression tastefully.
D - Loud/Safe: Ideal for soft songs that still require a significant amount of volume; combines characteristics of A and B to strike a happy medium between the two.
E - Extra Dynamic Range is best used for soft, delicate recordings such as a cappella music, acoustic or classical music, subtle film scores, etc.
If you select the proper mix type, Aria usually performs admirably. But if you're not happy with it, you can remaster the song another five times at no extra cost. You can experiment with different options until you find the one that suits your ears best.
